Tech Data Europe to Phase Out Paper Invoices With OB10

London (PRWEB) December 15, 2011

Tech Data, one of the world’s largest distributors of technology products, has selected OB10 (http://www.ob10.com), the e-Invoicing network, to automate its invoicing process, improve productivity, and strengthen data quality and compliance through electronic invoicing in Europe.

Having rolled out EDI with some suppliers, Tech Data is taking automation further by extending e-Invoicing to its vendor partners across Europe. The technology company already understands the benefits suppliers will gain as it has been transacting with its own customers on the OB10 network since 2009.

Tech Data’s goal is to achieve touchless invoice processing. Through e-Invoicing the company aims to deliver accurate data into its ERP system, improve cash flow, increase PO compliance and reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

“Critical to our choice of service provider were demonstrable experience in on-boarding suppliers to the network, and the ability to manage the complexity of cross-border legal and VAT regulations,” said Philippe Bosquier, VP IT Europe and Managing Director Tech Data IT. “We are committed to phasing out paper and bringing greater efficiency and transparency to our finance function and suppliers through e-Invoicing.”

Commenting on the agreement, Luke McKeever, CEO at OB10, said, “We are delighted to welcome Tech Data, an established supplier on the OB10 network, as a buyer. We are working closely with the Tech Data team to deliver a successful supplier on-boarding programme based on the knowledge and methodologies we have developed over 11 years in e-Invoicing.”

About OB10

OB10, the e-Invoicing network, simplifies and streamlines the complex invoice-to-pay processes. Neither client organizations nor their suppliers are required to implement any hardware of software, and OB10 is independent of data file formats. OB10 can reduce the cost of paper invoice processing by typically 60% and can deliver an ROI in less than a year if the programme follows OB10’s best practice guidelines. Operational across Europe, North America and Asia, OB10 is compliant with the requirements of VAT, tax and e-Invoicing legislation and receives invoices from suppliers across 150 countries. To ensure unrivalled and rapid supplier enrolment, each new customer’s suppliers are supported by an implementation services team responsible for getting them up and running on the OB10 network.
